The Research Information System (FIS) of the University of Cologne consists of two components: the FIS database and the FIS portal. The database is exclusively available to users of the University of Cologne and serves as an editorial area where metadata related to research activities can be managed. The portal, on the other hand, is the publicly accessible research portal of the University of Cologne.
