The University of Cologne is implementing a research information system (RIS), thus taking into account the growing importance of data-driven procedures and decision-making in national and international competition. The research information contained in the RIS of the University of Cologne are permanently maintained and made visible according to a uniform nationwide data standard. This makes it possible for external interested parties to obtain a continuously updated status of the research activities and achievements of all scientists at the University of Cologne. With the changeover to digital research reporting, the University of Cologne is also relieving its scientists of various documentation and reporting obligations.
